Cetronia Ambulance Corps is excited to announce its newest positions of Paratransit Crew Chiefs. The organization’s paratransit division is operated by two platoons, and each has its own crew chief now. These new positions will work 12-hour days for a total of four days on and three days off each week.

“A” Platoon Paratransit Division is being led by Gwen Smith. Gwen is no stranger to Cetronia. She has been with the organization for 22 years! She has earned the nickname “The Princess of Cetronia.” Gwen serves as an FTO (Field Training Officer), is on the safety and hiring committees, and has been an instructor.

Gwen’s favorite part of this new role is her peers coming to her with their personal or work-related problems. She puts on her mom hat and is happy to be trusted. She also loves when her regular patients remember her name. She even went to the funeral of one of her longtime patients and the entire family knew her name and thanked her for taking care of their family member over the years.

Gwen also loves learning something new every day. She is ecstatic to be a role model for the organization.

Jesse Calarco, Cetronia Ambulance Corps Paratransit Crew Chief

“B” Platoon Paratransit Division has no stranger taking the helm either. Jesse Calarco has been with Cetronia for eight years. Jesse serves as an FTO and sits on the compliance and safety committees.

Jesse loves taking care of his patients. He just loves making them happy. With this promotion, he also gets to incorporate his positivity and ideas to make the job safer and have the operation run smoother. His favorite quote is “Don’t judge people by what you hear, judge them by how they treat you.”
