Allentown, Pa. – Citing his decade as a volunteer with Cetronia Ambulance Corps as being “among the most rewarding experiences of my career,” local marketing professional Michael C. Keenan made a $10,000 donation to Cetronia’s regional EMS organization on behalf of his firm, Keenan-Nagle Advertising, Inc. The presentation was made on November 11 to CEO Larry Wiersch at Cetronia’s headquarters in South Whitehall.

Keenan noted that he was fortunate to serve during a decade of exciting changes in Cetronia’s 65-year history. “New leadership and a lot of hard work from the whole Cetronia team transformed the organization,” he said.   “Service volume soared, a new state-of-the-service operations center was built and community education programs expanded. Through all the changes and challenges, Cetronia’s dedication to its lifesaving mission never wavered.

“I saw countless episodes of Cetronia EMS men and women saving lives here in my own community, even my own family. Through it all, I had the chance to learn a lot from fellow board members and Cetronia’s leadership, some of the finest people I’ve ever known. Working with them all and seeing the results of this team effort ranks among the most rewarding experiences of my career.”

Keenan began writing content for Cetronia in 2009 and was elected to the Board of Trustees in January, 2010, serving as secretary and chair of the External Communications Committee.   According to bylaws, board members must conclude after serving a maximum of three 3-year terms but may continue to serve on committees, which he intends to do.

“Mike is a true professional and has been excellent at leading our organization’s media relations efforts. His unwavering commitment to Cetronia and its lifesaving mission has been a model for current and future Trustees at Cetronia,” said Wiersch.

“I will miss Mike’s candor and humor at our Board of Trustee meetings but I am incredibly pleased to have him continue his involvement with the committee he has chaired for these past nine years. Not only has he been a mentor, but also a friend and comrade in helping us achieve new heights as we continue to expand in excellence and service. We are grateful for his financial support but equally as important for the expertise he shared in media and marketing relations. We thank him for all he has done and his continuous support!”
