Yesenia is a recent graduate from Pennsylvania State University, where she majored in Health Policy and Administration and minored in Sociology. In summer 2018, she completed an internship at Lehigh Valley Health Network. There, Yesenia worked for their Diversity/Cultural Liaison and supported cultural competency initiatives throughout the network. As an undergraduate, she took leadership roles in various campus organizations. Her work ranged from event management, finance management, and projects to address educational disparities.

Yesenia is the first in her family to attend and graduate college. In her spare time she enjoys watching Netflix, hanging out with her dog, and volunteering. She was born and raised right here in Bethlehem, Pa.

This summer, Yesenia is joining Cetronia Ambulance Corps as part of the Workforce Investment Board’s State/Local Internship Program. This eight week program provides summer internship opportunities for Pennsylvania youth and young adults to develop job skills and encourage pathways for employment. Yesenia is excited to be exposed to the operations and management of Cetronia and is eager to learn from the staff.
