Behind every successful EMS team is a strong medical director guiding the way.

From life-saving protocols to real-time clinical decision-making, the role of a medical director is essential to the safety, education, and effectiveness of an ambulance service. At Cetronia Ambulance Corps, our providers operate under expert medical direction to ensure every patient receives the highest standard of care. This leadership guarantees not only legal compliance and clinical oversight but also fosters continuous growth, innovation, and excellence in emergency medicine.

Cetronia Ambulance Corps serves under the medical direction of Zachary M. Matuzsan, DO and Robert Gyory, MD, of Lehigh Valley Health Network, now part of Jefferson Health. They are assisted by LVHN’s EMS Fellow, Jillian Allen, DO.

About Lehigh Valley Health Network’s EMS Fellowship Program

The Emergency Medical Services (EMS) Fellowship program at Lehigh Valley Health Network (LVHN) is a one-year Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education-certified program. The goal of the program is to train fellows to become competent in the multiple facets of pre-hospital emergency care.

Fellows in the program have the unique opportunity to become integral members of the LVHN division of EMS, which provides oversight and pre-hospital services to a large and diverse region. Some key components of the fellowship include medical director appointments at several EMS services including Cetronia Ambulance Corps; assistant medical directorship with LVHN–MedEvac (helicopters and ground crew ambulances) for those critically ill; event medicine opportunities at various standbys in the region; Special Operations/Hazmat/Tactical EMS; and Emergency Management in event medicine and mass casualty incidents (MCIs).
