DESCRIPTION:August 8 – 12\, 2022 from 2 to 3 p.m. EST\n\n2022 Summer Chess Camp (virtual)\n\n$60 per student for the week; ALL proceeds will benefit Cetronia Ambulance Corps.\nSession 1 – Beginner Level: Fundamentals of Chess \nMaximum of 6 students per session; Students should be between 2nd to 8th grade. \n\nThis course is designed to teach the fundamentals to intermediate chess skills. Instructor Anish Pallod\, an 8th grade graduate aims to help creative minds explore the realm of chess\, and support people in need. After a grueling pandemic\, organizations need support to continue their pursuit of helping society. The goal of this camp is to teach kids chess for one week\, virtually. Anish will start off by covering the basics that some students may be a little familiar with. SUMMARY:EMSVO / EVDT Course
DESCRIPTION:August 20 and 21\, 2022 from 08:00 – 16:00; Must attend both dates\, have current drivers license and be at least 18 years old. \nParticipants will gain and/or verify a broad range of competencies associated with emergency vehicle driving\, including basic understanding of emergency vehicle operations and skills necessary for practical application. This internationally known course is highly recommended by several state\, regional\, and local emergency service entities. \nIt is a 2-day training that involves classroom and hands-on training. Participants must attend both sessions. \nEVDT provides emergency vehicle operators with the knowledge and skills necessary to safely operate an emergency vehicle in emergency and non-emergency scenarios. The Pennsylvania Department of Health requires that all EMS operators take a DOH-approved course prior to operating an emergency vehicle. Topics covered in EVDT include: legal aspects of emergency vehicle operations\, navigation and route mapping\, driver roles and responsibilities\, basic driving skills\, and proper driving procedures. \nRegistration due by August 12\, 2022; $100 per person paid with registration;\nMaximum of 14 students. \nRegister Now
