DESCRIPTION:March 28 and March 30\, 2023 from 18:00 – 22:00; and April 1\, 2023 from 08:00 – 16:00. \nMust attend all three dates. \nThe 2nd edition of NAEMT’s Tactical Emergency Casualty Care (TECC) course teaches EMS practitioners and other prehospital providers how to respond to and care for patients in a civilian tactical environment. \nThe course presents the three phases of tactical care and integrates parallel EMS nomenclature: \n\nHot Zone/Direct Threat Care that is rendered while under attack or in adverse conditions.\nWarm Zone/Indirect Threat Care that is rendered while the threat has been suppressed but may resurface at any point.\nCold Zone/Evacuation Care that is rendered while the casualty is being evacuated from the incident site.\n\nThe 16-hour classroom course includes all new patient simulations and covers the following topics: \n\nHemorrhage control including immediate action drills for tourniquet application throughout the course;\nComplete coverage of the MARCH assessment;\nSurgical airway control and needle decompression;\nStrategies for treating wounded responders in threatening environments;\nCaring for pediatric patients;\nTechniques for dragging and carrying victims to safety; and\nA final\, mass-casualty/active shooter event simulation.\n\nRegistration due by March 21; \n$300 per person\nMaximum of 14 students \nRegister Here: http://weblink.donorperfect.com/TECCClass2023
