Cetronia - Health on Wheels
Education Overview

Cetronia Ambulance Corps is dedicated to the ongoing education of our employees, volunteers, and our communities. Cetronia’s continuing medical education programs are designed to challenge our Pre-Hospital Registered Nurses, Paramedics, Emergency Medical Technicians and Paratransit associates, giving them valuable, hands-on experience. Our highest priority is ensuring that our associates not only meet but exceed the Department of Health’s continuing education requirements.  As a true testament to our committment to education, a large number of our associates are nationally registered within their disciplines.

Cetronia's Education Department develops programs aimed at training other public health and public safety professionals, community groups and youth.  Many of our local police and fire departments rely on Cetronia to provide them with the necessary training and education required to maintain their certifications in CPR, First Aid and AED.  Our associates are dedicated to providing the communities served by Cetronia with outreach, education, training and the support necessary to promote health, safety and emergency preparedness.

Each year, Cetronia Ambulance provides hundreds of community based 911 education and awareness programs to day-care centers, pre-schools and elementary schools.  The programs are provided free of charge and often include a visit from "Andy the Ambulance", Cetronia's youngest member.  "Andy the Ambulance" is a robotic replica of a Cetronia ambulance with the ability to interact with young children in an innovative and effective way, educating them in the following areas - How to Call 911, When to Call 911, What to do in an Emergency and basic safety and first aid measures.

Programs like these are essential in helping Cetronia continue its mission as a non-profit, community based public health and safety partner that serves the needs of a quarter million residents living and working in the Lehigh Valley.  The demand for community education programs continues to grow; to meet the needs of our growing community Cetronia has expanded our education and outreach programs for both our communities and healthcare/emergency personnel.  Our new state-of-the-art education center is utilized to educate our community, train future EMS providers and help ensure that clinical excellence is maintained by providing ongoing education and training opportunities for current EMS personnel through the Eastern PA region.
